Father's Day

Every other year, Mother's Day and Father's Day has seemed like a day to relax and bbq with the family. This year, it seemed to have a different meaning. After hearing about Tim Russert's passing on Friday, it just made me realize how mortal my own father is. My dad is the same age and even though he is not famous or well known, he has the same great characterics. I keep hearing on the news how he loved his son so much and was just a great guy all around, the same can be said about my dad. I'm an only child with 3 kids and my dad makes his love for us well known. He loves being with us and makes every excuse to come over, "no dad, our grass is fine, remember you just cut it 2 days ago!" I hope that I will get to spend many more Father's Day with him. Thank you Dad!
